Maureen Mulligan moderated a Boston Bar Association CLE
Seminar on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Boston Bar Association
Conference Center. The Seminar, entitled “Ethics & Technology: New
Issues for Lawyers in the Cyberage” touched some of the ethical
concerns associated with the use of e-mail, blogs and websites and some
of the ethical issues raised by electronic “advertising,” while
providing practical tips to avoiding potential issues including:
- Inadvertent disclosure of privileged material through electronic metadata
- Ethical issues and Lawyer blogs
- Ethical issues associated with electronic discovery
- Ethical issues in the use of law firm websites, advertising and other risks in the use of technology.
