In 2006, Governor Mitt Romney signed into law M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 188, “An Act Providing Access to Affordable, Quality, Accountable Health Care” (known as, and referred to herein as, the “Fair Share Act”), which became effective on October 1, 2006.  This law imposed new health insurance mandates on both individuals and employers in Massachusetts. The employer mandates included a “fair share” premium contribution requirement under which an employer with 11 or more full-time equivalent employees in the Commonwealth is required to (i) make a “Fair and Reasonable Premium Contribution” to the health insurance costs of its employees, or (ii) pay to the Commonwealth an annual per employee “fair share” employer annual contribution of up to $295 per employee.  read more

E-nough!

Technology used to deliver a better product and experience is awesome... BUT don't let it overwhelm the dining experience.

That experience still requires a personal touch and creating a 'zone of comfort', i.e., free of noise, LED displays and other distractions.

Many diners are increasingly uncomfortable with the proliferation - at tables - of countless electronic devices being used by adults, as well as by and for children (as electronic babysitters).

Preserve the special dining experience by having a clear policy, whether that involves an outright
prohibition or some set-aside area for distracting devices.
