Why did you become a lawyer?

As an immigrant, I watched my parents navigate systems that were often complicated and unfamiliar. My sister and I would often help them figure things out, and I realized early on that I enjoyed being a problem solver. That ultimately inspired me to become a lawyer. Today, I love being able to take complex legal issues off my clients’ plates, guide them through situations they may not know how to handle, and give them the confidence that someone is looking out for their interests and finding the best path forward.

Tell us about your career path.

My career has taken me through several different areas of law as I figured out where I wanted to build my practice. I started in trademark law before moving into personal injury litigation, but once I found employment law, I knew I had found my place. I began by representing employees before transitioning to the management side. Today, my practice focuses on representing employers in employment matters while also advising businesses on corporate and transactional issues. Having worked on both sides of employment disputes gives me a well-rounded perspective that I bring to my clients every day.

Tell us about your practice.

I practice employment and business law. On the employment side, I advise employers on day-to-day HR issues, workplace investigations, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour compliance. I also represent executives in negotiating employment and severance agreements. On the business side, I work with companies on entity formation, corporate governance, asset sale and purchase agreements, commercial contracts, and business disputes. My goal is always to provide practical advice that helps clients manage risk while achieving their business objectives.

What do you love most about what you do?

The relationships. I enjoy becoming a trusted advisor to my clients and helping them solve problems before they become bigger issues. No two days are the same. One day I might be negotiating a complex transaction, the next conducting a workplace investigation or advising a CEO on a difficult personnel decision. I also love that my practice spans so many different industries. One day I’m working with a restaurant group, the next a manufacturer, or a technology startup. It gives me the opportunity to constantly learn about different businesses and industries while combining legal analysis with strategy, business judgment, and a human element.

Why did you choose the firm?

I was looking for a firm where I could continue growing my employment practice while also expanding my business law experience. What stood out to me was the collaborative environment and the depth of experience across different practice areas. Having colleagues with backgrounds in corporate, tax, real estate, and litigation allows me to provide more comprehensive advice to clients and continue developing as a well-rounded attorney.

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you.

English was the third language I learned. Also – my family is from a coastal town in India, and I now live right next to the beach, but I absolutely hate sand.
