We assist in the negotiation, implementation, and documentation for all types of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financing, construction, and sales (including tax-free exchanges).

We analyze and resolve issues relating to planning, zoning, land use, permits, and approvals; environmental concerns; and appear on behalf of clients as advocates in front of local boards and quasi-municipal authorities.

We negotiate and document commercial lease transactions for landlords and tenants within the office, retail, commercial, manufacturing, and industrial marketplaces, as well as pad site and land lease transactions; and we interpret lease provisions and assist clients with the implementation of those provisions.

We review title to property; interpret, advocate, and seek to resolve title disputes; present petitions before the land court to quiet title; and issue title insurance policies.

We advise and consult on business issues facing real estate owners, including ownership entity and structure, succession planning, financing possibilities, and market strategies.

In conjunction with our Litigation Practice Group, we advise and represent clients in litigation when necessary to prosecute and defend claims relating to real property. These claims can range from contract or construction disputes, appeal of municipal approvals, title claims, enforcement of financing documentation, and commercial lease disputes and eviction.

RIW represents businesses, developers, contractors, lending institutions, cooperative and condominium associations, and individuals in all types of commercial real estate transactions and issues.
