Get to Know Paralegal Adam Savino

Adam Savino recently joined the firm as a paralegal supporting the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group, Corporate & Business Department, and Banking, Finance & Lending Department.

Why did you become a paralegal?
I have always had a strong interest in real estate. Working as a paralegal allows me to work in real estate while still enjoying a healthy work-life balance.

Tell us about your career path.
I have been a bartender since I was 19, and have had other jobs in the past, but nothing that amounted to a long-term career. Going into 2020, my goal was to change that, and the COVID-19 Pandemic and shutdown allowed me the opportunity to go back to school and retrain. I was not sure what type of paralegal I wanted to be; however, my previous experience in real estate made me a natural fit for real estate paralegal work.

Tell us about your practice.
I work on residential and commercial real estate transactions from offer to closing binder.

What do you love most about what you do?
Being able to find creative solutions to complex problems and helping clients achieve their dreams/goals.

Why did you choose the firm?
I was immediately impressed by RIW’s interview process, starting with a Zoom meeting and then being quickly invited in for an office visit. Once in the office, I was impressed by the firm’s culture and the office’s design. The experience stood in stark contrast to an offer I received from another firm, where I was never even invited to visit the office or meet anyone in person. The warm welcome I received at RIW made it clear that this is a place that truly values its people and is the place for me.

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you.
I was given the nickname “10K” after finding an envelope containing $10,000 on a table I was bussing. I turned it in to management, and it was claimed the next day with no reward other than a “Thank you” and a clean conscience!

What do you do in your free time?
I love live music and go to dozens of concerts each year, and I bartend part-time on weekends at a live-music venue. When I’m not working, I collect, restore, and digitize vinyl records. I currently have a collection in the thousands.
